PMT is providing on-site safety supervision and coordination services for the construction project of the ISEL Student Residence, part of the ISEL Zero Carbon project, to be carried out on the northern campus of the Lisbon Higher Institute of Engineering.

The new residence will have a capacity of up to 230 beds, helping to alleviate housing difficulties for the student population.

From a technical standpoint, the building stands out for its adoption of bioclimatic construction principles and high-efficiency energy and water solutions, including the use of low-environmental-impact materials, energy production and management systems, rainwater harvesting, and smart monitoring of consumption and environmental performance. The project also incorporates innovative green spaces, such as vertical forests and areas for urban agriculture, promoting a healthy and sustainable environment.

The residence is part of a broader ecosystem that includes a hub for advanced research and training, featuring laboratories, incubation spaces, and business areas, functioning as a true living lab for the development and testing of innovative solutions in the fields of sustainability, energy, and the environment.

As part of its scope of work, PMT provides technical supervision of the construction project, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements, as well as coordination among all stakeholders. On-site safety coordination ensures the implementation of best practices and compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Scheduled for completion in 2026, this project serves as a benchmark for sustainable construction and the creation of resilient, future-oriented infrastructure, further strengthening PMT’s expertise in projects of high technical and environmental complexity.
