In addition to certification under the Environmental Management System (NP ISO 14001), our practical approach is reflected in the selection of durable technical solutions, intelligent waste management, and the design of infrastructure intended to mitigate our overall ecological footprint.

A clear example of this commitment is the company’s involvement in the modernization of the Vendas Novas Railway Line, a major infrastructure project worth 120 million euros. As the entity responsible for safety oversight and coordination, PMT actively supports this crucial project for the decarbonization of freight transport in Portugal, which is estimated to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 500,000 metric tons by 2050.

One of the highlights of the interview was PMT’s distinction in the Organizational Well-Being and Happiness Index. Debunking the myth that a competent professional is one who works 12-hour shifts, leadership advocated for a model focused on work-life balance and employee comfort, both in the office and on demanding construction sites.

With a proven track record through certification in work-family balance (NP 4552) and excellent results in the Great Place to Work certification, the organization is now preparing to obtain certification under the Organizational Happiness standard (NP 4590).
